Tasting Note

A concentrated nose with violet and roses and tightly packed cherry. This is a Barolo with lovely ripe but firm tannins that give it a fine structure. Its also incredibly fresh and bright with the cherry notes continuing to the palate. A great wine to savour or enjoy with richer foods.

Product Notes

Giovanni Rosso Barolo is a beautifully crafted and rich in flavor Italian wine produced in the Piedmont region of Italy. This fine wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, which are carefully selected from vineyards in the prestigious Serralunga d'Alba area. Giovanni Rosso Barolo has a deep garnet color and a complex bouquet that consists of dried fruits, spices, and hints of forest floor. On the palate, it's full-bodied with rich flavors of cherries, berries, and spice. The tannins are robust, providing structure and a long, satisfying finish. This wine is ideal for pairing with hearty meat dishes, particularly those featuring red meats. Giovanni Rosso Barolo is a wine of exceptional quality that embodies the elegance and sophistication of Italian wines.

About the Winery

Giovanni Rosso

Giovanni Rosso is a 10-hectare family-owned wine producer located in the Barolo commune in Serralunga d’Alba. The owners of the winery, the Rosso family, have cultivated vineyards in the region since the 1890s. Creating solely red wine, they developed an extraordinary passion for Barolo and Nebbiolo, its great grape. Giovanni Rosso reconstructed and restructured their vineyards with modern layouts in the early 1980s. He did it with the intention and desire to grow and cultivate the highest quality grapes.
