Product Notes

Trapiche Estación 1883 Bonarda is a classic Argentine wine that reflects the passion and tradition of the country's winemaking industry. The Bonarda grape, which was introduced to Argentina over 150 years ago, is at the heart of this intense and elegant red wine. The grapes are grown in the legendary Mendoza region, where they benefit from the ideal combination of altitude, climate, and soil. The wine has a deep purple color and aromas of black cherries, plums, and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with rich flavors of ripe berries and a hint of vanilla. The tannins are well-balanced, providing a long and persistent finish. Trapiche Estación 1883 Bonarda is an excellent choice to pair with red meats, game, and spicy dishes.

About the Winery

Trapiche

Trapiche, located in the extremely wine-rich region of Mendoza in Argentina, is a winery that was set up during 1883. This area comprises of over 1000 hectares and it is not surprising to know that this winery is the largest wine producer in Argentina. When Tiburcio Benegas bought the Trapiche winery during the 1880s, it was only a very small vineyard. Today, the place, owned by Grupo Penaflor, encompasses many vineyards from the Mendoza region.
