Tasting Note

A bright nose full of plums, raspberries and blueberrie with some delicate wisteria hints. This is an very easy drinking Barbera with a vibrant acidity and fleshy and juicy fruit. A great all rounder.

Product Notes

Giovanni Rosso Donna Margherita Barbera d'Alba is a rich, full-bodied wine that is sure to impress even the most discerning palate. This Italian red wine is made from Barbera grapes grown in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, which is known for its exceptional wines. The grapes are handpicked and carefully sorted to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used in the wine-making process. The result is a deep garnet colored wine with aromas of black cherry, plum, and vanilla. On the palate, it is boldly fruity with a spicy finish. This wine pairs well with grilled meats, hearty pastas, and strong cheeses.

About the Winery

Giovanni Rosso

Giovanni Rosso is a 10-hectare family-owned wine producer located in the Barolo commune in Serralunga d’Alba. The owners of the winery, the Rosso family, have cultivated vineyards in the region since the 1890s. Creating solely red wine, they developed an extraordinary passion for Barolo and Nebbiolo, its great grape. Giovanni Rosso reconstructed and restructured their vineyards with modern layouts in the early 1980s. He did it with the intention and desire to grow and cultivate the highest quality grapes.
