Tasting Note

Deep mahogany, almost opaque, with an intensely aromatic nose of raisins, dates, figs, dark caramel, maple and chocolate, complemented by subtle toasted and oxidative notes. The palate is extraordinarily rich and viscous, packed with concentrated dried fruit and caramel, yet balanced by refreshing acidity. Silky and mouth-filling, it finishes exceptionally long, with lingering flavours of dates, raisins and bitter chocolate.

Product Notes

Emilio Hidalgo Hidalgo Pedro Ximenez is a luxurious and decadent fortified wine that hails from the prestigious Jerez region in Spain. Made from sun-dried Pedro Ximenez grapes, this wine boasts a rich and syrupy texture with deep flavors of dried fruits, figs, and caramel. Its intense sweetness is balanced by a subtle acidity and a long, lingering finish. Ideal as a dessert wine, Emilio Hidalgo Hidalgo Pedro Ximenez pairs perfectly with rich chocolate desserts, blue cheese, or foie gras. With its deep amber color and complex flavors, this wine is a true indulgence for the senses and a must-have for any wine connoisseur.

About the Winery

Founded in 1874, Bodegas Emilio Hidalgo is one of the historic names of Jerez de la Frontera, in Andalucía, southern Spain. The bodega remains a family-owned business and is now run by the fifth generation of the Hidalgo family. From its origins as a small family operation, the house has developed an international reputation for producing traditional, long-aged Sherries while maintaining a distinctly independent approach to winemaking.
