Tasting Note

Very deep colour; practically opaque with a crimson rim. Intense and brooding black fruit aromas marry with distinctive rockrose and freshly picked mint fragrance. Gorgeous fresh notes of mango. Delicious ripe plum and blackberry flavours; very compact and mouth-filling but simultaneously smooth and elegant. Beautiful chocolate notes on the lingering finish. Irresistible now but with a long life ahead of it.

Product Notes

Warre's Cavadinha Vintage Port is a magnificent wine that encapsulates the essence of Portugal's Douro Valley. Made from combination of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca grapes, this vintage port is deep and purple in color, with a complex bouquet of dark fruits, spices and oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with flavors of black cherries, blackberries, chocolate and vanilla. The tannins in this vintage port are firm and well-structured, providing a long and elegant finish. Warre's Cavadinha Vintage Port with its outstanding depth, balance and complexity make it an excellent choice for pairing with cheeses, chocolates, and hearty meat dishes.

Warre’s Wines was established in 1870, but the roots for this company were developed during as early as 1670. It was during this time that two men from England, William Burgoyne and John Jackson decided to start a trading company in the north part of Portugal. Today, Warre’s Wines are one of the most popular wine brands in the country.
