Tasting Note

This wine has a black violet colour. On the nose intense fresh blackberry aromas in a resinous background. Rich, juicy and spicy on the palate, with a lovely vibrant natural acidity on the finish

Product Notes

Churchill's Grafite Estate Douro Red is a premium red wine made from a blend of traditional grape varietals grown in the Douro Valley in Portugal. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 14 months, which adds complexity and depth to its already rich and full-bodied profile. Deep ruby in color, this wine delivers aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and hint of spice that are echoed on the palate. The tannins are firm but supple, creating a well-structured and balanced finish. This wine pairs best with hearty and rich meals, making it perfect for special occasions and dinner parties. Churchill's Grafite Estate Douro Red is a must-try for wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts.

About the Winery

Churchill's

Churchill’s is a renowned winery located in the wine region of the Douro in Portugal. Established by Johnny Graham in 1981, the company serves as the last independent and existing British port house in the area. Born and educated in Porto, the youngest son of the Graham family committed himself to learn the craft and art of port-making after his father had to sell their business in 1970. Since he was 20, Johnny worked and toiled in Douro Valley’s terraced vineyards.
